SALSERENA

Origin

Vale was teaching a beach class when a sudden storm surge rolled in. She grabbed her students' hands and led them out in a perfect 1-2-3, 5-6-7 rhythm, faster than anyone could run. She has moved on the beat of the clave ever since, and anyone she leads moves with her.

Powers

• Clave Step: moves three steps at a time in a blink, on the salsa beat
• Partner Spin: spins anyone safely out of danger with a perfect lead
• Tranquila: her calm tempo slows down panic in everyone around her

Weakness

Offbeat: music without a steady beat throws her off, and she cannot step.

Sidekick

Coquí, a tiny tree frog who sings the beat 'co-kee'; El Tranquilo, the brand's masked dancer, is her dance partner in cameo episodes.

Villain

Señor Stomp, a man with no rhythm who stomps the music out of every party; he secretly wants lessons.

Costume

a crimson fitted hero dance suit with a flowing gold-trimmed skirt panel over leggings, black side accents (under 30%), gold flat dance shoes.
